This week’s news from American Dairy Association North East  the dairy farmer-funded and directed organization using checkoff dollars to deliver a strategic, comprehensive marketing plan on behalf of dairy farmers.
38,250 Gallons of Milk Distributed to New York Families Last Week; 140,000 Gallons in June
Thousands of New York families received 38,250 gallons of milk last week thanks to collaboration between ADA North East, local dairy companies and local community groups. More than 140,000 gallons were distributed in New York during National Dairy Month in June. Milk was purchased through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) from Dairy Farmers of America and Upstate Niagara Cooperative.

Millions of New York Students to Gain Access to Milk and Meals this Summer
Students in Rochester, New York City and Yonkers – school districts that have the highest student populations – will have access to meals that include dairy this summer as ADA North East adapts its annual Summer Meals program efforts in response to COVID-19 restrictions.

New York Retailers Get a Boost Stocking Dairy Shelves During Pandemic
ADA North East’s retail team began helping local New York retailers stock shelves in mid-March during the height of the pandemic. In all, we helped stock 109,859 units in New York.
