As we head into the holiday weekend, we wanted to send you an update.  Out of an abundance of caution, we voluntarily tested employees of CRU for Covid19 before they returned to work. On June 22nd, we were informed that one employee tested positive. This employee has not been in our restaurant or had contact with any employees who are currently working. 
 

The employee had been self quarantining upon return to the island, awaiting test results. Since learning he tested positive, he has been under a mandatory quarantine until he tests negative. Health officials have traced his contacts and those people are quarantining as well. 

As we are now open for outdoor and limited indoor dining, CRU is taking every precaution to provide a safe and enjoyable dining experience for customers and work place for all of our staff. Our safety procedures are outlined on our website and include:
 

• Currently our occupancy is limited. We are limiting parties to 6 people or less, per the Massachusetts state guidelines. 

• We proactively COVID tested our employees before they returned to work for us. In addition, we continue to screen everyone for Covid symptoms prior to each shift. 

• The floor-plan has been reconfigured to allow for safe social distancing. 

• The restaurant is cleaned between each reservation with hospital-grade sanitizers for all surfaces, tables, chairs and restrooms beyond our regular cleaning practices.

• Masks are mandatory for all staff and all customers while they are in common areas and walking to and from tables and restrooms.

• Sanitation stations are throughout the restaurant.

• Reservations are requested, and we are allowing very limited walk-ins and ask guests to wait outside with safe distancing between parties.   

Over the past 8 years, you have come to us for the ultimate CRU experience of perfectly shucked oysters, magical sunsets, intimate celebrations-- and you’ve become part of our family.
