Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce & Film Fest Team Up for a Spectacular Laser Light Show on July 4!
A Safe Distancing Celebration at the Orcas Drive-In
There may not be a typical Fireworks show on Orcas Island this year but get ready for a Fourth of July Laser Light Drive-In Show to take place at Mt. Baker Farm. Seattle’s Industry leader “Slick Lasers” will light up the night sky for a spectacular laser light show with the glorious colors and music designed specifically for an Independence Day celebration. The Laser show will open with the recorded music from the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, Martin Lund and the Orcas Island Jazz Festival, and of course a July 4th tradition, the Orcas Island Community Band.
The Gates will open at 7:00 pm for attendees to claim their spot and enjoy some delicious food and treats. Concessions include fare from Holly Dennis with her famous Harmony Chai, egg rolls, soup, and delicious baked goods and Lopez Island's "Poutine Your Mouth" food truck features various ways to serve "Poutine" - Crispy Fries, Cheese Curds, and Herb Veggie Gravy with other delicious toppings along with wraps, bowls, and sandwiches. Gluten-Free, vegan and vegetarian options too.
LIVE music starting at 8:00 pm featuring local jazz band, The Last Word, with Oliver Groenewald, Steve Alboucq, Brian Moss, Melody Funk, Randy Jezierski, with special guests Gene Nery & Emily Aring.
Disc Golf is now open at Mt. Baker Farm. The course features 9 Innova professional baskets with lots of natural obstacles like trees, stumps, ferns, or switchbacks. Fun family activity. Call 360-376-2425 for golf reservations.
The main show will begin at Dusk and the Laser Light Show will follow at 10:00 pm. Reservations are required to reserve a spot for your car and we are hoping that people will support the event by making a donation when making their reservation. No Walk-Ins.
Safe distancing Coronavirus Protocols will be in effect and strictly enforced. Physical distancing and masks are required when outside your car for when you visit the concessions or restroom. This will be strictly enforced. Cars are spaced 10 feet apart and the sound will be transmitted over your FM radio. Oversized vehicles will be placed at the back.
