COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Seeking Outside Halloween Decorations

The Halloween Carnival is being re-imagined this year and the RBCA is already collecting outside decorations for the event. If you have battery powered candles, yard decorations or other themed pieces that can be used outside (no paper products) please contact RBCA Executive Director, Teresa Pape at execdirector@richmondbeach.org She will make arrangements to pick up from your porch safely.

Event Electrician Needed

The RBCA is looking to partner with a licensed electrician to help us when we have our larger community events, like the Strawberry Festival and this year’s Halloween Event. This is not a volunteer opportunity but a business opportunity. Must be able to bring and set up generators, snake boxes and cables for events. For more information contact RBCA Executive Director, Teresa Pape at execdirector@richmondbeach.org

Halloween Event Planning / Building Team

The RBCA is already working on new ways to bring our community events back. The first one on the list is a Halloween event. This will not be the carnival of year’s past. This is an all new event with hints of the past traditions. If you want to help be part of the planning team OR if you are interested in building or painting set pieces that can be outside, like coffins, cauldrons, tombstones, haunted displays, etc. Even if you are interested in swooping in on set up day to help us decorate with lights and props. We would love to make contact with you. For more information email RBCA Executive Director, Teresa Pape at execdirector@richmondbeach.org

Looking for Ways to Support the Businesses in Richmond Beach?

We Heart RB is a new web page which supports local businesses. It lists the Richmond Beach restaurants open for takeout, which places have gift cards and which service providers are still taking clients. Please take some time to review our new web page https://richmondbeachwa.org/weheartrb.php

Please Consider Sponsoring a Business

The Richmond Beach Community Newspaper is looking for individuals to sponsor the advertisers in the newspaper. Many of the paper’s regular advertisers are currently closed and the RBCN is seriously concerned about the sustainability of the paper. We are looking for ways to supplement the income of the paper without having to ask a small business for money right now. If you are a regular customer of some of the local advertisers, please consider adopting them. Details can be found on the new We Heart RB webpage at https://richmondbeachwa.org/weheartrb.php.

Newspaper Volunteer Needed

Graphic Designer needed for Richmond Beach Community News
Do you enjoy creating graphics, images, and art? Maybe you know of a student that is studying graphic design? Could one of your friends or neighbors be looking for a creative outlet? The RBCA is looking for a graphic designer to design ads for the newspaper. Use this opportunity for a future portfolio or strengthen your professional skills and join the team of enthusiastic volunteers who produce the monthly newspaper. The current designer will train through May. For more information contact RBCA Executive Director, Teresa Pape at execdirector@richmondbeach.org
