Keep Dancing!
A Leap Above Dancers
Madison, Wisconsin Dance Community
Hello Dancers and Dance Enthusiasts,
As many of us are returning to our studios and rehearsals we are now wearing masks, cleaning a lot, and taking lots of precautions to keep people safe. While this is stressful to navigate we also feel very grateful to have space to move and the community of our dance groups and classes.
In these difficult times, what does it mean to connect with each other? How can we "look forward" to a time that feels different than the present? What do YOU look forward to?
The City of Madison invites you to share how you, your neighbors, your friends and family members, your coworkers, and others have been supporting and uplifting each other in ways big and small. Show us what holds "us" together during this challenging time. We want to see what makes you feel positive, inclusive, and resilient.
Every member of our community is vital. We're in this together, even as we are apart during "Safer at Home."
LOOK FORWARD with us!
We see you going out of your way to promote inclusivity, positivity, and resilience in your everyday life and we want to celebrate that.

Other Resources Available
The SBA has made its Economic Injury Disaster Loans available during the COVID-19 crisis. These loans are traditionally meant to provide a safety net for businesses following localized disasters (hurricanes, floods, etc.), but the recently passed Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act extended the coverage of these loans to businesses nationwide that have been affected by the pandemic.
Additionally, the CARES Act has made Paycheck Protection Program Loan Guarantees available to small businesses of less than 500 employees, including those who are self-employed, sole proprietors, freelancers, and gig economy workers. Some benefits of this loan program include generous loan forgiveness provisions, maximum interest rates of 4%, loan terms up to 10 years, no requirement for personal guarantees or collateral as conditions of approval, and payment deferments of up to 12 months. Furthermore, part of this loan can be forgiven and not counted as income if the money is spent on operations during the first eight weeks. To learn more, contact your local lending institution.

Today’s global crises are serious matters, which have cost many many lives. By this, we are referring to the COVID-19 pandemic and the injustices precipitating the Black Lives Matter movement.
