My idea for a monthly newsletter turned into a quarterly issue! I'm sure
it's better this way; I suppose you don't need to hear from me that often!
My goal is to make sure you know what your membership(s) can do for you
and to keep you up to date on new happenings
in the LegalShield family of products.

My Recent Experience using my LegalShield Plan*
(*this is a true personal story)
To share how having a membership works with LegalShield, here's my story of a recent personal experience using my Home Business Supplement legal plan, just last week! I have been working on a personal website to sell vintage vinyl records. I had some questions about sales tax in my state, tax when selling to other states, about how to handle cost of inventory in my books, and whether I should change from Sole Proprietor to LLC/S Corp. I thought I knew the answers, but I wanted to know for sure. So I called my Law Firm from my phone's app, got an intake specialist, opened a file, and a couple of hours later, a business/tax attorney, Dave, called me back. Dave was a font of information; he answered my question about cost of inventory in detail, and in a way I could understand. And this was the part I thought I knew, about the sales tax. As a website designer, I have several clients with eCommerce sites and have had to deal with sales tax issues for them. But lo and behold - Dave was WAY more up to date than I was - Late last year, the Supreme Court finally ruled on how sales tax should be collected on a state-by-state basis, and I wouldn't have known had I not had my LegalShield plan, and easy access to an attorney that I could call as many times a month as I needed!
