New Name and New Board - find out whats been happening ...

With the school holidays almost upon us it is heartening to see events popping up in the calendar once again.

Our recent AGM was a busy and interesting evening, with a wonderful turnout of members all keen to reconnect after the limitations of lockdown.

Peter McAuliffe, elected once again as Chair, was delighted to announce that Go Geraldine is changing its name to Geraldine.NZ, bringing the marketing, branding and organisational identity into alignment.

Officially still the Geraldine District Development and Promotions Association, the organisation will be now known as Geraldine.NZ, with logos and collateral gradually changing to reflect that.

Peter also announced a new platinum sponsor, Harcourts Geraldine , who have joined our generous and important sponsorship family.

The board is most grateful for the support of all our key sponsors who enable the organisation to achieve so much on behalf of our community. As always, please show your appreciation to the sponsors (see the panel below) in any way you can.

The Harcourts logo to be added to all our collateral, as we complete our updates, to recognise their valued support. Also check out the Winterlights Competition they are running this July with great prizes for the winners!

And a big welcome to new G.NZ members Tievoli Trading.

This July, Geraldine will be featured on both Essence and Spirit Magazines with distribution from North Canterbury through to the Waitaki. Geraldine.NZ was delighted to provide editorial and images to both publications to ensure Geraldine is well promoted.

Light up and be in to Win!

July can be a cold, dark time of the year, but it is also school holidays and the ski season, so people are out and about and seeking entertainment!

Traditionally Geraldine has lit up at this time of the year in support of the Lantern Walk, but this year, of all years, we want to really GO BIG!!

This is our chance to put on a wonderful display of creativity and light for the delight of our residents and visitors alike. Be bold - do a display in your business window but don't stop there - light up your building, light up the tree next to you, light it all up!

And remember, this competition isn't limited to the main retail area of Geraldine - where ever you are located in town please light up!

Harcourts Geraldine has partnered with Geraldine Signs and GNews to bring you great advertising prizes (plus some goodies) so by helping to promote the town with lighting up, you'll be in to win a chance promote your own business as well with some advertising. What an awesome collaboration!

Once your displays are up, please take some pics and post them on your social media and use #lovegeraldine and #nightlights and/or #lightthenight. If you like another business display, take a pic of their display to post and mention their business name - share the love and light up the night!
