FoodBites - Coronavirus no.3 Food Business Guidance
Welcome to our third edition of Covid-19 newsletter. We hope that you found information in our previous edition of FoodBites useful. We appreciate that there is a lot of guidance available for businesses which can be confusing and therefore in this edition we have put together a list of links to various guidance so that you can access it easily when you need it. As always, contact us if you need any assistance or advice.

COVID-19 checklist for businesses

  • FSA checklist to support food businesses to reopen safely
  • Covid-19  checklist
  • Institute of Food Science and Technology reopening checklist including H&S matters
COVID-19 Risk assessment The Covid-19 risk assessment should run alongside your business's Food Safety Management System. Food businesses which are restarting, or have made changes should review and, where necessary, update their systems (SFBB, HACCP or similar) to demonstrate how coronavirus affected the food safety within their business. Further changes to business's operation are very likely in the nearest future and therefore reviewing and updating your system is a continual process going forward.

Legionella
  • CIEH guidance on lockdown risks and reopening safely
  • Government guidance for organisations on supplying safe water supplies
  • HSE guidance on Legionella
  • Public Health England leaflet on Legionella
