For school holiday fun for the whole family, you can't go past Maddaganza – the City of Gosnells' extravaganza, featuring carnival rides, roving entertainment, an animal farm, character meet and greets, fun activities for all ages and the chance to snap a magical selfie with a unicorn.

This special all-weather event, under the Big Top at Maddington Recreation Ground in Kelvin Road, is sure to be a hit with all youngsters – and the young at heart.

Running from Saturday 4 July to Wednesday 8 July, there will be 75-minute ticketed sessions all day, starting at 9am. Tickets offer unlimited access to all the attractions and activities, including 11 different carnival rides to delight everyone from toddlers to thrill-seekers.

You can bring your own food or grab a bite to eat before or after your session from a range of fabulous local food trucks outside the Big Top.

Want to boogie under the Big Top?

Looking for a great night out close to home? Look no further than the Boogie in the Big Top Soul Spectacular featuring the Milford Street Shakers, Saturday 4 July.

This dynamic, 11-piece rhythm and blues band is a firm favourite with audience members of all ages who love to get up and dance to Motown sounds and '60s Soul music.

Their unique take on classics like Stop! In the Name of Love, Dancing in the Street and Ain't too Proud to Beg is guaranteed to get you dancing to their groovy beats.

Doors open at 7.30pm, under the Big Top at Maddington Recreation Ground, Kelvin Road. All tickets are $20, plus booking fee – including free rides on the Dream Swinger. Enjoy a drink from the licensed bar and grab a bite to eat at one of the food trucks on site. Please note this is an adults only event for those 18+.
