Remote Speech Day - afternoon of Friday 3rd July
We will ask all boys to watch our Speech Day film on Friday afternoon during P6 and P7. The film will contain speeches from a few of us, including some very special guests, some amazing music, and we will read out the (previously unannounced) prize winners, including the winner of this year’s Arthur Tisdall Award. We intend to follow this with a “Live” Teams meeting in which we will announce the winners of this year’s House Cup, and say a farewell to our amazing Y8 boys. More details will be posted for the boys.
Parents are most welcome to listen to our Speech Day film (at the same time, or any time afterwards).
House Sport Challenges - last day Sunday 28th June
We hope your son has enjoyed doing the House Sport Challenges which he has
until tomorrow to complete. Please upload his results into the google sheet which can be accessed through his Bedford School account. This sheet will be shared with the pupils in his Year’s PE & Games Google Classroom.
Each entry will receive a House Point and the winning House will be calculated from the results uploaded. Results must be witnessed by an adult and, please, only post honest achievements! Also, please do not change any entries made by other pupils.
Last call for House ‘Funny Photo’ Competition
There are a few days left to enter the Funny Photo Competition. Thank you to those boys who have already entered. The photos should be taken by the boys themselves and their best one should be submitted to their Housemaster by email. (Feel free to add a caption to increase comedic value.) The photos will be judged independently, the winner(s) will be announced and there will be an overall House Competition winner. If we receive sufficient entries, we may run separate year group competitions as well. The House with the most entrants will also be rewarded with additional House points. House points won will all contribute to this year’s main House Competition. The closing date is
Tuesday 30th June and we look forward to seeing your entries.
Virtual Summer Concert, Thursday 2nd July
Please note that we will be broadcasting a Virtual Summer Concert (including recorded performances by Prep and Upper School groups during the lockdown period) on Thursday 2nd July at 6.30pm on the
school YouTube channel. Please do tune in for what promises to be an epic celebration of all the musical creativity during the last few months, as you can see from the attached
trailer.
