Phase 3 of our economic reopening has been delayed in large part because, according to the governor, and countless reports he's received, folks in the beachh communities "...are not following basic public health precautions." You can read the full statement here.
Good news is that the bathroom facilities are indeed open in Bethany. For those of us with a smaller bladder, we are eternally grateful!!

You may remember last week when I told you that there were a couple of options for fireworks on the fourth including right here in Bethany...well, now, not. Apparently US Senate Candidate Lauren Witzke did NOT apply for a fireworks permit (um, really?) and the Town of Bethany Beach had this to say about it. The event was cancelled on Facebook today and the campaign folks have decided to move the event to Dover. HOWEVER, you can still head to Dewey (Alex Pires DID get a permit) 👍

A couple of things came up this week, one a personal request, to share with you all in the hopes that, within your means, you can help. Here are the stories...

Our Community Over Covid Revolution partner, That Guy With A Broom, needs your help to support one of their own...Ana, a virtual worker from the Philippines, is a big part of their family and her life is literally hanging in the balance because of coronary heart disease. Here's what Dylan (owner) had to say..."I’ve never met anyone who goes out of their way to help others like she does… but now she’s struggling to stay alive and she needs our help. Right now, Ana’s life hangs in the balance."

Heather Spencer of Salted Vines (another Community Over Covid Revolution partner), is raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Why? Because it hits really close to home. Her brother has it...thankfully she was a match and able to donate bone marrow and he's in remission (woohoo!!!!) Get the full story here and become part of the #SaltedVinesWarriors.
