 This month, we are shining the spotlight on 10-year old Dylanne Pierce! Dylanne is going to be a 5th grader at Heritage Peak Charter School, and likes doing math.
Dylanne has been dancing at Dixon Dance Studio since she was three years old. When asked why she first started dancing, Dylanne said, “I have been dancing since before I can even remember. I love how I can express my feelings through dancing.”
Here’s what Dylanne has to say about her favorite dance memory, “I have so many. My newest favorite memory is getting a LADM scholarship. It’s a funny story because I didn’t even know I had gotten one until awards were over. They called my name as Pylanne. I will always remember the feeling I had inside when Ms. Amy brought it out to me.”
When asked about her dance friends, she said, “My dance friends are Ximena, Addi, Hayden, and Addison. I enjoy dancing with them and how we all make each other laugh."
Ms. Morgan says, "I absolutely LOVE having Dylanne in class! I am constantly impressed with her her ability to approach her dance training with the perfect mix of hard work, passion and fun. She is such a smart and thoughtful girl, and I am so grateful I get to be a part of her journey!"
Dylanne has lots of goals for her future! Here are a few of them, “I would really like to one day dance on pointe. I would also like to dance a solo one day. When I get older I want to teach at LADM.”
Her advice for her fellow dancers is, “to remember that everyone at Dixon dance is there for you. Always dance your heart out and go full out.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves Dylanne!
