Celebrating Summer and Planning for Fall

CLASS OF 2020 CELEBRATION

Class of 2020 drive through celebration. Some students chose to join a drive through graduation. Students will continue to finish and graduate throughout 2020.

These young leaders demonstrated resilience and focus in a very challenging year. When asked about plans for fall, students replied: College, work, and time with family.

SMALL GROUP FALL ORIENTATION IN AUGUST
Advisors will be meeting with small groups of parents for fall orientation. This will be a chance for students and families to review transcripts, plan classes, update technology needs and communication preferences.

SAVE THE DATE: WED AUG 12TH FROM 5 TO 7PM

Ice Cream Social for families, staff, and students.
We will gather safely in the school parking area with tents.

PLANNING FOR FALL
The Minn Dept of Education will determine at the end of July which learning scenario listed below we will follow when we open on Sept. 8th.

Scenario 1: In person learning for all students
Scenario 2: Hybrid learning with capacity limits
Scenario 3: Distance learning only

We get to decide what each scenario will be like for our families. Our already established Blended Learning is very similar to the Scenario 2. No matter which scenario we follow, we are committed to keeping students learning, engaged and safe.
If you would like to be part of a July workgroup to help create a safe and engaging plan for fall, let us know.

HELP US WITH TECHNOLOGY

We are raising money to buy Chromebooks that students can use at home and at school this fall.

During Distance Learning many students needed to share technology at home. As we plan for fall and continue social distancing we need to buy more Chromebooks to ensure 1:1 technolgy for all of our students.
