Geg & Hen specialise in made to order, handmade linen clothing and accessories.

Our style ethos is simple: Slow Fashion, which involves buying better quality garments that will last longer, therefore reducing waste to landfill.

We offer a viable, wearable alternative to the fast, throwaway fashion of the High Street.

This month we're excited to welcome two new partners to the Geg & Hen brand.

Soap and Pamper

Soap and Pamper produce a beautiful range of soap & shampoo bars, soap dishes and gift boxes.

All of their products are vegan, and made in small batches using plant oils, butters, essential oils, herbs & spices.

They are also free from palm oil, parabens and SLS (sodium laureth sulphates), the chemical that produces lather and bubbles.

The soaps and shampoo bars are great for travel, as there are no plastic bottles, no leaks and they take up less room in your luggage!

Seaglass Marvels

Seaglass Marvels make stunning handmade jewellery from their studio in West Sussex.

Using sea glass that has been recycled by the waves and washed up on our beautiful beaches, they create one of a kind pendants.

Each pendant is made from the natural gems they find around the coast of England and is accompanied by a sterling silver necklace, which is available in various lengths.

In addition, all jewellery is exclusive to Geg & Hen and has been specifically created to complement our clothing range.

So, why not add a unique item of jewellery to your wardrobe, we guarantee you won’t find anyone else wearing whichever one you choose!

Slow Fashion is an awareness and approach to fashion, which considers the processes and resources required to make clothing, particularly focusing on sustainability. It involves buying better-quality garments that will last for longer and values fair treatment of people, animals and the planet.

The term Slow Fashion came about quite organically. It was coined by Kate Fletcher of the Centre for Sustainable Fashion, following the phenomena of the Slow Food movement. As with the slow food movement, Fletcher saw a need for a slower pace in the fashion industry.

Slow Fashion opposes the Fast Fashion model that emerged around 20 years ago.  And it’s fair to say Slow Fashion is 100% necessary, with brands like H&M burning 12 tonnes of unsold garments per year in spite of its ongoing sustainability efforts to close the loop in fashion.*
