Happy Feast of Peter and Paul. I write with two pieces of happy news. The first is that the church opened today, and the second is that Clem has been selected for training as a priest. She will go to Westcott House in Cambridge from September. Congratulations to Clem.
Do join us for our service at 10 tomorrow, brought to you by Fr Ben, Kalela, Tim, Daryn, Heather, Clem and Stephen.
The government has announced that churches can open for public worship from July 4th. We are really hoping that this will mean we can hold a service next Sunday, but we are awaiting more detailed advice from the church, to see if this will be feasible. As soon as we have a plan I will email you. As there will only be a maximum of 30 people allowed it will be necessary to book, and I will email and phone with details of the booking system when it has been arranged. The reopening group is meeting on Tuesday evening, so I should have more news after that.
In the meantime the church is open for an hour a day for private prayer.
The church will be open from 12-1pm on Saturdays and Sundays
and from 6-7pm Monday to Friday.
There will be a maximum of 30 people allowed in church. The toilets and the kitchen will be closed.
Please enter via the drive (not the steps), walk round to the glass porch and enter there. Please use hand sanitiser on entry and exit and sit only in the designated seats. Follow the one way system and exit via the wooden door next to the tower and down the steps into the street.
Unfortunately you will not be able to light candles, although by request Fr Ben can light a candle for you.
Please do not come to church if you are in any way sick or have any symptoms.
I'm very happy to receive requests for hymns and prayers.

Women in the New Testament: Bible Study
Clem and Lucy are hosting a zoom bible study on women in the New Testament each Wednesday evening. If you would like to join, email Clem on clem.holyinnocents@gmail.com. Each session is stand alone, so don't worry if you can't make them all.
Help keep Holy Innocents going during the lockdown
This has been a difficult time for us financially, losing nearly all the income we would have got through Sunday collections. We realise this is a tough time for everybody, and want to give heartfelt thanks to those who have already given so generously and continue to do so each month.
