Makin’ a list, checkin’ it twice …

... Santa Claus does it when he’s coming to town to find out who’s “naughty or nice.”

When Market shoppers make a list they can get in and out of the Market more quickly - leaving more room for shorter lines and more social distancing inside the Market, as well as shorter lines waiting to get into the market.

And another great thing about lists – they make it easy to shop for a neighbor(s), or elderly friends who really shouldn’t be going out. And that cuts down on crowds, too!

Lists are a small thing that’s a big thing - and definitely nice! Santa will hear of your good work, Kensington shoppers!
Come and Get It!

Song of the Week:

A Gáztetőn

… from The Het Hat Club, an international traveling band based in Budapest. Digging into the sounds of the 80’s and 90’s Balkan Roma Gypsy Turkish Transylvanian folk, but also from Jazz, Hip Hop and Latin culture.

They show up at our bandstand from time-to-time when they swing (figuratively and literally) through the West Coast. Here’s a blast-from-the-past from their most recent album.
Recipe of the week:

FRUIT SHORTCAKE

“ ... there will be an abundance of fresh fruit at the Market this weekend, and MAISON BOUCHE has Shortcakes! Grab some fruit, coat with a wee bit of sugar and a splash of vanilla (if you are daring). Let that relax for a bit then split open a shortcake and top with the berries. Et voila! All you need now is a side of freshly whipped cream!
