The Tactile Times Quiz (

) will close on the evening of the Monday 30th of June.
That means there are onlth three days left to have a go at it.
But, don't worry if you just don't have the time for round one as we are considering making a few Kahoot! quizes. If we do publish anymore quizes, whatever form they are in, we will definitely update you about how you can play them and get involved.
We thought Kahoot quizes might be fun as they turn clicking checkboxes into a fun game, with a live-updated scoreboard, optional game music and much more. Also, Kahoots are fully-accessible to braillists on Touches, iPhones and more.
The first events email after exams season is done will be sent next weekend. In the meantime, why not check out the Look website at look-uk.org/meet-up as they have loads of fun events this week.

We thought as our aim is to connect braillists together, we should provide a place which is easy-to-access and more organised than ,j one long feed of messages. We thought having a place to chat to each other, divided up into different sections, was a great idea and that's why when I read Access IT (An RNIB IT Magazine) and found out that there was a fully-accessible way to do it, I was so excited.
This is not a replacement for our WhatsApp group. The WhatsApp group will remain active for young braillists to connect with other young braillists.
We just thought we needed a place that was sorted into conversations about different topic.
So, we have launched the Tactile Times community which so far has sections like BrailleNote chat, event contributions and much more. And, the great news is, if you have any ideas for new sections, just put them in the new sections ideas area, and they might become reality!
We also plan to have sections that are titled the same as our newspaper sections (e.g. sport section chat)
So, if you want to be involved in contributing to the Tactile Times, or just want to be the first to know about new issues when they come out, why not join?
As a subscriber, we are giving you early access and would love your feedback on how good you think it is.
It's quick and easy to join but does require an email address.
