Do you really want a Dachshund? Do you really want one right now? Here's a healthy dose of reality.

SPECIAL OFFER: £150 IVDD SCREENING SUBSIDY

Thanks to some significant recent donations to Dachshund Health UK we are able to offer  additional IVDD screening subsidies. The normal cost is £300 per dog and we have increased the subsidy to £150 on a first come, first served basis. Our charity also pays for scoring the x-rays so this special offer gives you a saving of £200. You pay just £150.

Email info@dachshund-ivdd.uk to claim one of the subsidised places.
Thanks to Selina Knox, sales of the first 200 sets of Match A Dax cards have enabled donations of £500 to each of Dachshund Health UK and Dedicated to Dachshunds with IVDD.

Match A Dax is a fun card game for all the family, featuring some lovely Twitter sausages, many of whom have themselves been affected by this cruel disease.  Match a Dax joins Devoted To Dachshunds' best selling Christmas cards and tea towels to raise funds for both research into IVDD and towards rehabilitation of those dogs affected by this cruel disease. The money raised will be split between two great causes, 'Dedicated to Dachshunds with IVDD' and the research into IVDD being undertaken by the Dachshund Breed Council.  Devoted to Dachshunds Ltd funds the production of the games, cards and tea towels so that every penny raised will go to these causes.

It’s 2 years since the crowdfunder to publish this children's storybook. Author Candy Jones is donating all the proceeds from the books now so every purchase means £5 to the Breed Council's Charity and £5 to Dedicated to Dachshunds with IVDD.

Ian Seath hosted a webinar on Breed Health Improvement Strategies for the Danish Kennel Club last month. This is an important subject that is more current than ever, where some breeds are faced with a difficult time in relation to health and considerations for the future of the breed. Ian's fee for the webinar has been donated to Dachshund health UK.

Thanks goes to Katrine Jeppesen, from the Danish Kennel Club for permission to share this DKK webinar! Slides are available at: https://www.slideshare.net/Dog-ED/dkk-breed-health-strategies-webinar

Angus Berry sells decorative signs on ebay, and as a daxie owner has made some with odd comments such as "Hello Sausage". As a member on one of the Facebook Groups had been devastated with a little one getting IVDD, Angus thought it would be a good idea to put £1 donation to Dachshund Health UK for any sign he sold. Last month he donated £31 to our Health Fund.

Thank you to Angus for supporting our work to improve the health and welfare of Dachshunds.
