An end to the RSVP in sight...
This week further easing of Coronavirus restrictions have been announced. The phase four easing (coming into effect this weekend) doesn’t change our situation at St Matthew’s.
However, the phase five easing (scheduled for July 18) does. We won’t be subject to the two-meter square rule. This is great news for us. It will mean we shouldn’t need the RSVP or check in systems anymore, and there will be room on Sunday for everyone, every week, any time you like.
This also means we can start to talk about coming out of our temporary COVID safe services and look to the future shape and ministry of St Matthew’s.
On this I need to ask for patience. For two reasons.
Firstly, because many people will be on holidays during July (including many of the staff team). Secondly, because we need to talk properly about this next step we take, and these conversations take time.
These next decisions we make as a Church are just too important to rush.
