NYS CDFIs - Your support is needed to overturn bad CRA Rule!

Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Subcommittee Chairman Gregory Meeks (D-NY) have introduced H.J. Res. 90 in the U.S. House of Representatives – a disapproval resolution that would overturn a bad rule on the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) finalized this month. The House has not yet voted on this measure, so it's not too late to show your support for overturning it.

Please add your signature to this letter from the National Community Reinvestment Coalition urging Members of the U.S. House of Representatives to support H.J.Res. 90 which overturns the rule. This requires quick action because the vote could come this month. Let's show strong support from organizations across New York State!

In addition please contact your Member of Congress today and urge them to vote for the disapproval resolution when it comes to the House floor. Importantly, please know that there is a divide among the Trump Administration’s bank regulators on this new CRA rule. Only one of the nation’s bank regulators – the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) – supports and has adopted this CRA final rule. The other two – the FDIC and the Federal Reserve – have not supported or finalized the new CRA rule.
