Building, Supporting and Educating the community of Coding Black Females

Created in 2017, Coding Black Females is a nonprofit organisation, whose primary aim is to provide opportunities for Black female developers to develop themselves, meet familiar faces, network, receive support and build relationships through
regular meetups.

Afrotech Fest

A tech festival by and for Black people of African and Caribbean heritage

Their conference is taking a break this year, BUT they have a programme running now that is helping young Black people, who are now studying at home due to Covid-19, get online. So far they've supported 23 families with laptops and other devices, covered mobile and broadband fees, and have provided technical help and support. They have many more families needing this support so please donate.

Coders Of Colour

A meetup for young underrepresented people of colour to pursue a career in tech

Coders of Colour is an organisation aimed at "Empowering and enabling young underrepresented people of colour to pursue a career in tech by providing them with a safe space for them to learn, explore and grow". They do this by running free coding workshops for young people.

Black Girls Code

Empower young women of colour, aged 7-17, to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders + creators

Black Girls CODE is devoted to showing the world that Black girls can code, and do so much more. By reaching out to the community through workshops and after school programs, Black Girls CODE introduces computer coding lessons to young girls from underrepresented communities in programming languages such as Scratch or Ruby on Rails.
