All of us at Powering Potential hope this message finds you in good health during these troubling times.
Our societies are currently seeing notable unrest while Covid-19 still rages across the planet.
The 2020 GEM report on Inclusiveness and Education shows how the virus has impacted global education on a massive scale. Now more than ever, this is a time for constructive dialogue and comprehensive planning to respond to the incredible challenges we face.
We want you to know that our commitment to providing technology education to schools in regions lacking resources remains firm. It is our belief that the solutions to these perilous situations exist in the minds of the youth. Education will enable these students to bring our world into a sustainable, inclusive future for generations to come.
President John Magufuli announced that Tanzanian schools will re-open on June 29th, 2020. This means our students can resume technology education in our award-winning SPARC labs! Our sister organization, the Potential Enhancement Foundation, will also move forward with implementing the SPARC+ program at the Kabasa and Mekomariro Secondary Schools thanks to a $36,200 grant from MoneyGramFoundation!
We reached our $5,000 fundraising goal and went beyond to $7,950! Our heartfelt thanks to those who contributed (listed below). These funds will cover the salaries for the fantastic staff in Tanzania -- Eng. Albin Mathias, Eng. Denis Christopher and Neema Lyimo. Take a tour with them of the SPARC+ lab at the WelWel Secondary School.
