#12: Sometimes It's Worth Waking Up Early

There is a tradition of waking up and watching the sunrise over Lake Michigan the week before graduation. I always wanted to do it, but I never thought I would get around to it because of the pandemic. Plus, I don't like to sacrifice my sleep.

My roommates and I recently all came back to our cute, college home to celebrate graduation, spend a few weeks together and reflect on our college experiences. Yesterday we watched the sunrise over Lake Michigan at 5:16am. It was a moment of stillness, gratitude, reflection and joy. As I sat there, I thought about my relationships, my own growth and what I learned from my college experience.

I'm so grateful to have friends who encourage me to say "yes", ALWAYS support me and bring out the best version of myself. Sometimes I forget to tell my friends how much I appreciate them for being an important part of my life. I want to express my gratitude for these amazing people in this newsletter. I know they're reading this 😊. I'm currently going through some big life changes, and this past week I can't thank them enough for being there for me.
