Dear <<LGL Salutation>>,

How are you doing? We can't believe how much time has gone by now without one event, or pleasant walk together on one of our trails. Please read below for a new way to show your support for the land trust during the month of July, an invitation to join us for a book discussion, and an update on Farm Breakfast, our beloved summer fundraiser. Thank you, and as always, please reach out if there is anything we can do for you!

Sincerely,
All of us at Three Rivers Land Trust

Good news! Three Rivers Land Trust is the July recipient of the Hannaford Community Bag program at the Sanford store. During the whole month of July, any purchase of a $2.50 reusable shopping bag will raise $1 for the land trust - and we've decided that donation will go toward finishing the Goat Hill Trail in Acton. Our trails have seen more use than ever during the Covid-19 crisis, and we'd like to ensure that all families, regardless of ability, have a beautiful place to go to find some respite in nature.
We Stand in Solidarity - and Welcome You to Join Us!

Three Rivers Land Trust stands in solidarity with activists fighting against racial injustice. Last summer the land trust formed a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice Committee to guide the board in our learning journey toward understanding racism and striving to become an inclusive organization. We hope you will take some time to read our statement and explore some of the resources we have read and watched on our continuing journey.

We know many of you are interested in beginning or continuing to learn about systemic racism, and how to be better allies. Our next reading selection is "How to Be an Antiracist", by Ibram X. Kendi, and we welcome you to join us for our Zoom discussion on Wednesday, July 29 at 6 PM. Please email Executive Director Cheri Brunault to let her know you'd like to participate, and she'll add you to the Zoom meeting invite. We look forward to a respectful and inspiring discussion.

No Farm Breakfast This Year! Sniff...
We are sad to announce that we will not be holding our annual farm-fresh, home-cooked breakfast this year on Open Farm Day. With the current restrictions on large groups, and our concern for the safety of attendees and our volunteers, we could not figure out any way to hold this event.

However, we couldn't let the summer pass without finding some way of celebrating and supporting our farmers and their bountiful summer produce. So, we are putting together the Three Rivers Land Trust "Farm Breakfast" Recipe Booklet! It will contain all your favorite recipes from the breakfast, plus recipes from our board, volunteers, and farmers that highlight summer produce for lunch and dinner, too. We plan to sell the recipe booklets at various locations and online. Stay tuned for more details.

We know its not the same as being served that tasty breakfast in the wonderful barn at McDougal Orchards, and then strolling the farm walk to chat with farmers afterward, but we hope it will help you make the most of summer!
