Maverick Boutin -- Kelly's update:, "Maverick is doing well. He’s doubled his birthweight and is in an open crib. He making slow progress with his oxygen needs, but we are hopeful we are headed in the right direction. He has his 2 month vaccinations next week. We are praying he tolerates them well. The next step is introducing breast and bottle feeding! We pray that both he and I are fast learners!" Please keep Maverick and his mothers in your prayers.

Fredericka Athanas, Evelyn's sister, just finished radiation and chemo treatment for colon cancer.   Because Fredericka is blind, her daughter, Catherine, reads her mail to her.   Catherine said that her mom received at least 20 cards and notes from people at First Lutheran.   Right at the point where Fredericka was about to give up, the many words of kindness and the encouraging notes from survivors inspired her to keep fighting.  Fredericka said that she felt "loved and blessed" that so many people cared about her.
Her address is 105 Newman Ave.
Apt. S 204,
Rumford, RI 02916.

Amy Remillard, Connie Slick's sister, who  has been fighting organ rejection for a month.  Connie called and asked me to thank the several people from First Lutheran who have sent cards of encouragement to Amy.  The cards and notes really brightened Amy's day, and she was deeply touched knowing that people she had never met were praying for her.
Amy's address is:
Amy Remillard, 120 W Wabash Ave,
Waukesha, WI 53186.
The Gigantic Clothing Sale
last weekend

On the one hand, we didn't attract as many customers as we had hoped to.  On the other had, it was fun, and the Thrift Shop ladies want to repeat the event every Saturday from 10am - 2pm beginning July 11th.

I'd like to thank all of the volunteers:
Karen Manning, Jane Hentz, Lexie Riggs,
Lucy Ogden, Emily Hughes, Brenda Audet, and Martin Lazzareschi.
