Don't Miss The Vote

I'm really excited to let you know about a preview screening and live panel discussion of the new PBS American Experience documentary The Vote happening on Monday (6/29) at 6:30 p.m. in the comfort of your own home.

There is no cost for this screening, you just have to register to get the access information. Not only will there be a live panel discussion, but also questions and answers from the audience.

I know that some of us wish for less online time - and that makes complete sense - but this screening and discussion would never be possible at the library itself. Organizations are moving these programs online and making them available to many more people which is a real benefit of the digital world.

I hope you'll take advantage of this opportunity on Monday night. Let your friends and neighbors know about it too. Encourage the young women and girls in your family to learn more about the history behind their right to vote today.

Find the information about registering and more about the documentary below.

Screening &
Panel Discussion

PBS Books is partnering with libraries on summer programming and Wiggin Library is participating in a screening and live online panel discussion (with audience question and answer) of the American Experience documentary The Vote.

One hundred years after the passage of the 19th Amendment, The Vote tells the dramatic culmination story of the hard-fought campaign waged by American women for the right to vote, a transformative cultural and political movement that resulted in the largest expansion of voting rights in U.S. history.

Join American Experience and the National Women's History Museum for an exclusive preview screening, followed by a panel discussion with producers and experts from the film. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and join the conversation.

This program is FREE but you do need to register in order to get the access info. Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/american-experience-the-vote-screening-and-discussion-tickets-108869993080
