These are the questions that CalWEP and the UC Davis Center for Water-Energy Efficiency (CWEE) are attempting to answer. This new research is investigating how each water system in the state can use its existing reservoirs and storage tanks to adjust the timing of pump operation to reduce costs and emissions and increase resilience while maintaining the same level of reliability.
