Attention College Students
Introducing: Ask Your College

A campaign to boost student voting This election is an all-hands-on-deck moment. College students must be informed and vote on November 3rd, and they need encouragement from their colleges. We each have a role in influencing institutions of higher education to step up for democracy in 2020. We need YOU to join this movement. In this time of COVID-19, it is particularly important for colleges to embed student voting in their communications and plans for school openings, whether virtual or in-person. Everything you need to identify key college contacts, inform them, and follow up is right here: http://uusj.net/wp1/ask-your-college/.

The Summer Camp aims to help families occupy, entertain and involve kids during this unprecedented summer. The virtual programming will launch Monday, July 13 and conclude Monday, August 21.  For more information and to register, click here.

COVID-19 Testing - Tuesdays in Bedford
For the forseeable future, there will be Covid-19 testing at First Parish on the Bedford Town Common (75 The Great Road) every Tuesday. ALL are welcome regardless of town of residence, affiliation, symptomology, or ability to pay. Register online and you'll be given a time-slot and number: Bedfordresearch.org/first-parish. Nearly 500 people have been tested, of whom only a few were positive…AND asymptomatic - exactly the reason for universal testing! This testing is a collaboration between a local lab, the Bedford Research Foundation and First Parish Bedford in accordance with Governor Baker’s Task Force encouragement of universal testing. Though the subsidized cost of the test is $65 and a form is included with the results that may be submitted to insurance, First Parish also offers - thanks to generous donors - to subsidize anyone for whom cost is a barrier. And please pass this information on to anyone else who might be interested! If you have questions, please email jgibbons@uubedford.org.
