SCADaddle Updates

Because of COVID and city mandates, the Lehigh Valley, Minnesota, National, North Carolina and West Coast SCADaddles have been rescheduled to 2021. If you have registered for these locations and have not received notification, please check your SPAM folder or email scadinfo@scadresearch.org. Thank you for your understanding.

We are excited to provide a sneak preview of our new and expanded Virtual SCADaddle & Mayo SCAD@Home event. There are several components to the day:

A kick off on Zoom for those who want to walk, run, bike etc. anywhere & anytime during October.
A Zoom social hour
A short SCAD Research, Inc. Welcome on Facebook Live followed by Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program Presentation on the team's latest research findings with a Q&A answering your submitted questions

Funded primarily by SCAD Research, Inc., the Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Team conducted a genome-wide association study comparing 5 million genetic markers in 667 women with SCAD and 1817 women without SCAD.

The research discovered five markers and associated candidate genes linked to SCAD risk, providing a new focus for ongoing basic and clinical research. The study was featured in the Journal of the American Medical Association – Cardiology. The study is Tamiel Turley's main PhD project, under Dr. Timothy Olson.

This beautiful tabletop display was created by Dan Castello for his wife Lori, a SCAD survivor. Order today for yourself or that special survivor in your life.

Made of clear acrylic, it is laser cut and laser engraved with n. survivor of a SCAD heart attack adj. strong, brave, resilient. The display is 4 7/8”w x 5 1/2”h x 1 3/4”d.

Dan is the creative director of Castello Creative LLC and graciously agreed to make and sell these through SCAD Research Inc. He will donate 100% of his profit to fund research.
