Bastille Day is France's National Holiday - sort of like our Independence Day. It celebrates the fall of feudalism and the king of France, and the rise of a government of the people. It's also a great excuse to drink some French wines!

Domaine de la Rossignole Sancerre 'Cuvee Vielles Vignes' (2019)

Everything you could want in top-notch Sancerre with an added layer of rich white fruit (think poached pears and juicy green apples) that coats the palate before a wave of citrus energy washes over and sets up the taste buds for the next sip. Aromas of wildflowers and firecrackers are a nod to this third-generation Sancerre family's outstanding terroir; the finish reminds of fresh sea breezes, lime sorbet and an endless summer. Chateau Graville-Lacoste Blanc (2018)

This Graves is distinguished by its high percentage of Sémillon, sourced from vineyards in the greatest white wine terroir in Bordeaux. 75% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Muscadelle. The vineyards are just across the road from First Growth Château Climens on a similar soil: calcareous clay on fissured rock, peppered with red iron, white limestone, and grey flint gravel.

Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune du Chateau 1er Cru

We have both the Rouge (Pinot Noir) and the Blanc (Chardonnay) version of this great blend of Bouchard's amazing selection of Beaune 1er vineyards. Both are amazingly complex wines as a result, and really show off winemaker Frédéric Weber's skill in blending these lots.
