The Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative picks up its Ask Me Anything video interview series this Thursday with an interview with Judy Larson, the Director of Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art. With over thirty years of museum experience, Larson has served as curator of American Art at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta; Director of the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia; and director of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, in Washington, D.C. At Westmont she has organized noteworthy exhibitions on Camille Corot and French Realism and Impressionism as well as several exhibitions on living artists, both local and international.
Judy would be happy to answer questions on any variety of topics, including including questions from artists for a museum director and curator, from members of the public about how a museum works, and other questions about the role of a museum in a changing world.
Tune in this coming Thursday, July 16, at 4pm, for our happy hour free-flowing interview with Judy at facebook.com/sbcaw/live. We hope you’ll submit questions ahead of time as well via our Facebook and Instagram feeds, or by e-mailing hello@sbcaw.org.
