How to Participate in the July 7 Community Forum on Racial Justice

The City Council will hold a special forum at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7 to begin a community discussion about ways that Sausalito can promote racial justice and work to overcome the toxic legacy of racism. The event will be held virtually on Zoom and broadcast live on the City website.

Following a brief report from City staff and remarks from Councilmembers, the Council will look to community members for their thoughts and ideas on ways the City can effect change. After public comment, the Council will discuss the ideas it has heard and establish priorities for next steps.

How to Participate
  • Computers and mobile devices. The Zoom link for the meeting is zoom.us/j/5421451805. Use the "raise hand" function if you would like to speak during the public comment period of the community forum.
  • Telephone. The telephone number to access the meeting is *67 1-669-900-6833. The meeting ID is 5421451805#. Your phone number will appear on the screen unless you first dial *67 before dialing the numbers shown above. Press *9 to speak during public comment.
  • Email. If you do not wish to speak during public comment, you may submit email correspondence to hscoble@sausalito.gov. Email received before 4:00 p.m. on July 7 will be provided to the Council in advance of the forum and published to the meeting agenda.
If you would like to watch the community forum but not participate during the public comment period, a live stream will be available on the City website. A video recording will also be available after the event.

The following supporting documents are included with the staff report for the community forum: The City Council will continue with regular business at the conclusion of the forum. Additional items on the agenda for the July 7 meeting include the Public Review Draft of the City's updated General Plan and the public process for City acquisition and potential uses of the BofA building at 750 Bridgeway.
