July News from the Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association

Hello neighbors,

Businesses are starting to take down the boards from their windows and offer more of their services. Neighbors are starting to dine-out and shop again while keeping vigilant to social distancing guidelines. The all-volunteer Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association Board continues to strive to make our community even more vibrant.

The new FPNA-sponsored mural on the historic Phoenix Pharmacy is being created by three talented local artist: Christian Grijalva (@firekatg), Edmund Holmes Mundo (@Mundooo), and Jamaali Roberts (@jamjamart). They will be adding their creative skills to highlight the worldwide demand for social justice. Feel free to support them with shout-outs, applause, car horns, or any other way to thank them without slowing down their progress. We are also hoping that you will support them by making a tax-deductible donation (be sure to leave a note with your donation letting us know it is for the artists).

At the upcoming, July 13th general meeting of the Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association (FPNA) we will be electing the new board for the 2020/21 season. We will also be forming various committees, each with their own focus on impacting positive change in our neighborhood. Join a committee and add YOUR skillset and ideas to support a community we all are proud to share. Social Distance need not mean social isolationism and loss of community!

The Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association meets the 2nd Monday of the month. Meeting information, an agenda, and a link to our online meeting platform, Google Meet, are all below.
