Hi, it's been a while! We hope you're all doing well and staying safe. We just wanted to let you know that due to the easing of Covid-19 restrictions across the UK, we're now in a position to reopen the hotel, bar and restaurant at The Royal in Lancaster. We've been working super hard over the last few months to not only adapt the venue so we can operate safely within the government guidelines, but give the hotel, bar and restaurant a major refresh.
All our hotel rooms have been freshly painted, the bar has received a significant facelift, and most excitingly our courtyard has been completely transformed with new flagging, upcycled tables, handmade benches and a brand new covered porch which is due to be finished by the end of this week. Of course we've been doing all of this work with the safety of our guests and staff in mind, and have reconfigured the venue to adapt to social distancing guidelines, with hand sanitiser readily available for everyone, enhanced cleaning policies and processes in place to safeguard you and our staff.
We're thrilled to be back. You can now book stays with us from 8th July onwards, with flexible cancellation policies in case your plans are disrupted. We understand that these are strange times, and that you may not feel confident with the idea of travel and staying away from home right now, but we want to reassure you that if you do choose to travel, stay with us, eat or drink in the bar, we're doing everything we can to keep you safe, whilst still offering that same warm, welcoming atmosphere you've come to expect from The Royal.
We've included some pictures of the work carried out on our courtyard so you can see the transformation for yourselves. A massive thank you to Ollie and Gary from Stonewell Construction, who worked so hard in the blazing sun and pouring rain to get this finished in time for opening.
