An unrecognized awesomeness
A message from PBC President Kim Walton:

Canada is Awesome.

Canada Day often elicits a list of Canadian Awesomeness that goes something like this (in no particular order): Opportunity, Education, Healthcare, Decency, Peacefulness, Multiculturalism, Wilderness, Comedians and Food.

Missing from this list is Canada as the birthplace of passive house and building science heroes.

Canada is the home of the first tall timber frame building, first PH Car dealership, first Cold climate Municipal Building, first PH Community Hall, and the first 60 story PH tower to name a few of the groundbreaking
Canadian projects.

The work PBC members do to help build better buildings in our country of challenging climates is nothing less than Awesome Canadianess!

Affordable housing
In the meantime here are some BOG presentations on passive house and affordable housing. Affordable housing projects are increasingly turning to passive house and our members have shared some great lessons. Looking for more BOG vids? You can find others here.
