The George Padmore Institute and the next 30 years

We are asking our valued supporters to help secure our future as a respected cultural centre and archive of the black experience in Britain.

Your donation will ensure the George Padmore Institute can continue its work and pursue its goals for many years to come. These include:

Maintaining an archive of rare materials recording independent cultural, educational and political activity of the black community since the 1950s;
Educating the next generation on the history of black people in Britain;
Supporting ground-breaking new research into black lives and struggles across the twentieth century and into the twenty-first.

We would welcome a regular monthly donation of £5/10/20 or a one-off contribution. Like many other charities, the George Padmore Institute finds itself in a difficult funding climate. It is working towards generating reliable sources of income to cover the running costs of the organisation. This includes applying for funding for specific projects and core support.
