The above photo is of some of the packets that were dropped off recently into Douglas.
It is important for us to stress that we do not take any of these at all. We also keep getting random lids, especially from herbs & spices and vitamins which we do not accept.
Other wrong items we have noticed being donated recently are the containers that vitamins come in as well as talcum powder drums. None of this can we take, it takes up too much of our time sorting it all out and fills our rubbish bin.
Please stick to the list, if its not listed then don’t give it to us. It's not so much as about the material but more to do with who is paying for the recycling. If the company paying don’t make or sell an item they will not pay for the recycling. This is why we ask you to please stick to the list.
