Hi there,

You have probably heard me talk about Tom Kibbe before, he has been my acting coach for the last number of years and I tend to talk about him a LOT. Because he is an incredible teacher.

I'm a big fan of Sanford Meisner and his teaching technique, so when I first met Tom you can imagine how jealous I was when he said he had studied with Meisner in New York. When he went on to say he had ALSO studied with Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg I couldn't believe it.

I mean imagine studying with three of the all-time best acting teachers ever?

Well, since then I have been taking classes with Tom as regularly as I can and I believe that I am now studying with one of the all-time best acting teachers.

Over lockdown, Tom has been working via Zoom with some of the actors who have been working with him for a while, and he is now opening that opportunity up to a wider audience and I'm helping him out with some of the online side of things.

Tom is offering 5 actors a free Creative Analysis, where he reviews your video material and then you get a 45 minute session with him where he offers advice on where you might be able to improve your instrument or what tools or techniques might be of help to you.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I have learned from Tom over the years, and how much I continue to learn. Every class I feel like I gain a deeper instinct for this crazy acting thing we do, and I gain confidence and an ability to get "in the zone" faster and more reliably. Where before I felt like I was flying by the seat of my pants, now I feel like I have a reliable process for turning up and giving the best performance I can.

Oh, also, on another topic—new podcast will be out on the 15th and it's so good. I'll be chatting with comedian Laura O' Mahony and she is on fire! She has incredible insights into building your own audience online and making yourself impossible to overlook. There's loads to think about as an actor around what can be learned from Laura's experience.

Anyway, I hope you're well and I look forward to hearing from you... let me know what you are up to!
Chat soon,
Frank

P.S. I forgot to say that you have to apply for Tom Kibbe's offer before midnight on Friday so do check out this page asap if you're interested: https://pages.tomkibbe.com/creativeanalysis
