Two Things for Tuesday

As we are flying through summer (seriously, someone tell it to slow down) we wanted to let you know that the next Visser Quarterly Report will be hitting every mailbox in East Grand Rapids soon. This report provides some valuable information about the current housing market in EGR; what is currently listed, what's recently sold, and of course, the thing you really want to know - the price! One of our favorite sections in the quarterly report is entitled, "Community Spotlight" where we get to highlight some great peeps. We are excited to introduce you to two guys who graduated (during a pandemic) and who have big plans for their future. Kyle will miss seeing them around his neighborhood this fall and wishes them all the best.

If you need to find Tate Potteiger, you’re going to have to bundle up and head to the closest ice rink. Tate’s passion is hockey and after graduation he will keep pursuing this passion by playing for the Detroit Metro Jets in the United States Premier Hockey League. Growing up in East Grand Rapids provided Tate with lots of great memories like shore fishing at Reeds Lake, and making it to states in hockey during his junior year. Tate loves how close the EGR community is and that everything is just five minutes away. He would like to thank Chris Newton for helping him achieve his goal of playing junior hockey. We wish you all the best, Tate, and hope that there are many hat tricks in your future. Unless you’re a defenseman - then stop all those shots.

If you want to catch up to Evan Bishop, good luck! You’re going to need to lace up your running shoes and go FAST! Evan is on his way to the University of Wisconsin to run D1 cross country and track and field. Since his freshman year, he trained to be a state champion and when he crossed the finish line his senior year - he was just that! Evan loves the community of East Grand Rapids because everyone is deeply involved and committed to the excellent academic and athletic programs. One of his favorite spots to run is the dirt hill on Darby by Reeds Lake where he could train and take in the incredible view. Evan would like to thank all of his caring teachers and coaches, especially Tim Johnston, Katie ReitKerk, Ryan Gary and Dan Rietberg. We wish you all the best, Evan, and although it’s tough for us Michiganders to say this, “Go Badgers!”

Together with you,
The KV Team
All the best, Tate!
GO Evan!
