Our upcoming Happy Hour Online will be in Portuguese! Gather with us to hear the letter Clarice wrote to the president to get her citizenship, "The Conjurings of Dona Frozina" and two chronicles, and stick around for a relaxed conversation with us and our invited artists.

Deo'Jorge and Gaspar Muniz, are hosting a weekly Zoom party called D/BOA-ENTOCANDO along with Ubunto, Perpettuo and Cristine Matos from DigNY. Multiple DJs spin a variety of Brazilian rhythms spiced up with some Latin and African beats as people dance, express themselves, and connect from their homes.

It's not just a great party but also a fundraising platform to support people in need and this week part of the raised funds goes to the Group .BR NY Brazilian Artists Fund and an organization in Brazil working to reach social justice through art. Come party for a cause!

Group .BR New York Artists Fund will offer a one-time, first-come-first-served $250 donation to Brazilian artists in New York State impacted by COVID-19. It will also support Group .BR’s operations and online programming during restricted times of face-to-face events allowing us to pay the artists involved. We hope to help as many artists as possible. The more YOU give, the more WE give.

Starting in July, SummerStage Anywhere will highlight genres that were born in or deeply represent New York – Mondays: Contemporary Dance, Tuesdays: Global, Wednesdays: Indie Rock, Thursdays: Latin, Fridays: Hip Hop and Saturdays: Jazz. Daily genre-driven content will be featured across multiple SummerStage social channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch).

O Teatro Petra Gold lançou uma iniciativa para transmitir online e ao vivo diversos espetáculos que acontecem no próprio teatro. Tudo acontece com o máximo de cuidado e obedecendo todas as normas de segurança para os técnicos e artistas envolvidos. Os ingressos são vendidos a preços populares e parte da verba arrecadada será revertida para o projeto Ingresso Solidário do Teatro PetraGold, que beneficia famílias de técnicos e artistas de teatro que foram fortemente afetados pela pandemia.
