Dear Members,
As you will be aware, the Premier and Chief Medical Officer of Victoria announced further restrictions for Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire as of midnight tonight and extending for 6 weeks.
This unfortunately affects some of our Members who live in Cardinia, Casey and other metropolitan local government areas (LGA). Drouin is in the Baw Baw Shire and not included as a metropolitan LGA
The Government directions can be found on the following link:
https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/updated-restrictions-1159pm-wednesday-8-july-covid-19
In summary, Members who reside in metropolitan LGA's cannot travel to Drouin to play golf: "In order to help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) across the state, you cannot leave metropolitan Melbourne or the Shire of Mitchell to exercise."
For those members within the Baw Baw Shire and other non-metropolitan LGA's we will continue to ask you to please observe at least 1.5m social distancing, hand hygiene and do not come to the golf course or Pro Shop is you are unwell, have any respiratory signs or symptoms or have been in contact with known positive cases.
As is current practice, all players, social and competitions, must book in either on line or at the Pro Shop and tee off the 1st tee. Other DGCC guidelines detailed below must be observed.
Stay safe, stay healthy
