Greetings, Illuminating Women.
I do hope that you are staying well during this pandemic and that you are able to find time for reflection and new opportunities while deepening your personal and professional growth. Our hearts and prayers go out to those who have lost loved ones from COVID-19 and for those recovering from illness. I have missed seeing you face to face, receiving those amazing hugs, and special touches that so lift my heart and soul. Even though we are not able to meet in person, we are continuing to meet virtually twice a week with our Wednesday Coffee Break & Connect, and with Friday Lunch & Learn. We are also continuing to host our Girl's Night Out on the 3rd Friday of the month; check out our website for more details. Please keep an eye on our Illuminating Women, LLC FB page for all virtual events. If you do not use FB, please let us know and we will send you an email announcement.
In the meantime, please let me know if you have a need. We do not want any of our sisters to be alone or in pain. We are here to continue our mission to educate, encourage, and empower you through our connections and sisterhood. Now more than ever, we need to stay closely knitted together with the most comforting, warm, and loving blanket of our community. We care deeply about you and your well-being. Please reach out to me if you have any suggestions and or ideas of new ways you would like to see us connect.
We may be in for a longer haul on these methods for connecting and meeting. I am continuing to listen carefully to you while maintaining a string of valuable opportunities to grow and strengthen our mission. This can only be done with your participation and input. Together we can create a powerful net to hold, inspire, and uplift each other, which will launch us through this trying time so that we land squarely on our feet.
I will be making more announcements regarding the new date and process for our 2020 conference that was postponed after the membership has been informed. Illuminating Women Members can expect an email soon to update you on new pivots and shifts so that Illuminating Women will remain solvent; being leaders of the pack, I am excited for the visibility and outreach for our members in highlighting your passions, goods, services, and expertise. I am excited to be filling our Illuminating Women YouTube Channel with golden nuggets from our members to help us all keep moving forward. Living Through Transitions
Are you going through a transitional time right now? Do you need or want to? Most of us are experiencing a lot of transitions during our worldwide pandemic and many of them are difficult. We may be feeling hopeless and lonely not knowing what to do or how to pivot "rebirthing" ourselves to be who we are truly meant to be. This month we are so thrilled to have Debbie Haggin be our GNO speaker to share with us her own powerful story of transitioning that has opened new and exciting doors. Debbie will be helping us to uncover:
-Fear and Love, recognizing our responses
-Trying new things you always thought about doing
-Deepening our trust, that natural thing that is so easy and effortless in your inner dearest self
Debbie will help us with our own stories, tapping in recognizing how to behold and honor our Teachable Spirit. We will also learn how to reclaim our "got this" making it work to serve our greater purpose.

Take a 15-minute coffee break and join us Wednesday, July 8th at 10:30 AM to meet Kitty Barren who will share her story and journey leading into the insurance industry gaining new perspectives into her WHY. Kitty will also share 3 pointers we all should know about insurance. These are rich gatherings to connect and learn while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. These golden nugget opportunities are inspiring and fulfilling as we come together keeping our sisterhood vibrant.

"After a career in insurance corporate communications, public relations, and marketing, I’ve decided to turn the tables and work directly with the consumers I’ve served from a distance for so long – I bought an Allstate Agency in Bellevue.
I’ve taught consumers about insurance for more than 15 years, so I know from experience that most people have no idea what their insurance covers, what it doesn’t, or why. I’m passionate about helping consumers better understand insurance because better-informed consumers make wiser financial decisions. People who understand what they’re buying are more satisfied with their products and services and are less likely to file lawsuits and commit fraud (or so I’d like to believe.)
Selling insurance is not selling widgets. It’s vitally important to know what you need when you need it, and the differences in the products and services you’re buying.
I am so excited to open my doors on April 1 as Lake Sammamish Insurance, serving customers on the Eastside who live, work, and play in the communities around Lake Sammamish.

ILLUMINATING WOMEN CONFERENCE 2020

Dear, Illuminating Women 2020 Conference Attendees.
Out of an abundance of caution in consideration of current events, we are postponing this weekend's conference for Illuminating Women: Building Bridges for a Bolder and Braver Future on March 6-7, 2020. We came to this decision in consultation with the Illuminating Women Advisory Circle as we hear the news, see the widespread concern and witness so many other events being postponed and canceled. We have also received inquiries from concerned speakers, vendors, and attendees.
We realize that some of you may be concerned about attending a large gathering at this time and we want to honor that. We want this event to be a wonderful, enriching and safe space for women to learn and grow together. Please stay tuned as we continue to monitor the situation and consider the various options for a new date. We will also be working with our speakers on this. We anticipate rescheduling for some time this fall of 2020. We promise to keep you updated and share our new plans as soon as we have them!
If you can hold onto your ticket, there will be a special perk for those who do. More on this later. Please forgive us, we have so many moving parts to deal with in this moment.
