Ecopreneur.eu advocates for circular acceleration houses for SMEs in all EU regions

Brussels, 10 September 2020 - 
Green recovery in Europe can be considerably accelerated by setting up circular acceleration houses in all EU regions to support SMEs and start-ups with developing and implementing low-carbon circular models.

They could promote collaboration and advocacy, offer education, training, information, and awareness, provide business tools and support, and facilitate collaboration at the EU level.

Ecopreneur.eu co-hosts Side Event on the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF)
Brussels, 29 September 2020 – The new partnership between Ecopreneur.eu and the American Sustainable Business Council (ASBC) is already bearing fruits.

During the WCEF, which takes place virtually on 20-30 September, we co-host the “Driving Public Policy to create a Circular Economy in the EU and North America” Side Event!

Ecopreneur.eu recommends to the European Commission mandatory life cycle assessments (LCAs) for all companies

Brussels, 31 August 2020 – In feedback to an Open Consultation organised by the European Commission (EC), Ecopreneur.eu gave recommendations to substantiate green claims, including mandatory gate-to-gate lifecycle assessments (LCAs) for all companies. Consultations usually are the first step the EC undertakes when considering new legislative proposals, and Ecopreneur.eu welcomes the EC’s initiative.

ECESP paper on economic incentives published!

Brussels, 19 August 2020 - 
In preparation of the 3-4 November Conference organised by the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP), the ECESP Leadership Group on economic incentives policies consisting of the EEB, BusinessEurope, IRCEM, FEAD, WMRC, MWE, INEC, Ecoembes and led by Ecopreneur.eu, published a working paper is that outlines seven economic instruments to overcome major structural and systemic obstacles on the road towards a circular economy.

Ecopreneur.eu letter with priorities for the German presidency of the European Union

Brussels, 28 May 2020 - 
Germany took over the presidency in the EU for the 2nd half of 2020. While many hot topics need to be
tackled during this presidency, rebuilding the European economy to be more sustainable and resilient to climate change and external shocks, remains one of the top priorities.

Ecopreneur.eu especially advocated for a strong green focus of the post-COVID recovery plan and ambitious implementation of the Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP).
