COVID-19 UPDATE FOR THE CHURCH;

New Life Church COVID-19 Update: The proposed Partial Re-Opening of our Building on July 12th, is now postponed.

On the 9/7/20 we received a bulletin from Rugby Borough Council's website stating that the number of cases of those contracting the Corona virus has doubled over the past week.  While it is still low, at 7.5 in 100,000 whereas it was 3.7 in 100,000 previously, it is an increase, making this region the 25th largest increase nationwide.  The council are asking people in Rugby to be alert.

For this reason, after discussion amongst the leadership, we have decided that we will postpone the opening of our building for at least two weeks, after which we will review the situation.  Hence we will not be meeting this Sunday, at the building, but reverting purely to an online meeting.  We are sad that we are unable to meet but the health of all in the church is our paramount concern.

We do hope that you will understand this decision and take the opportunity to join the on line service.

Psalm 42:5 reminds us to Hope in God.
If you find yourself in need, have a prayer request or would simply like to talk with one of the leaders at Newlife church please do not stay quiet but let us know: either contact your home group leader or contact office@newlifechurchrugby.com.

"Songs of Deliverance" is a beautiful time of online worship as part of our Sunday Service. This starts on the above links at around 10.30 am.
Each week a member of NLC will choose three songs that are important to them. They will introduce the songs, giving the reason for their importance and we will have an opportunity to sing these songs after their introduction albeit from our own homes.
Please record your song choices and send them into nathanjones@newliferugby.com
If you have any queries about this let us know at office@newlifechurchrugby.com
It would be great to have some more selections.

To continue the giving of tithes and offerings, to help the church continue to function, our church account details are sort code: 30-97-17 and account 44966360. Thank you.

Prayer Request: Please pray for David Loke's mum who has been diagnosed with gallbladder cancer, and is currently having chemotherapy treatment. The first treatment did not manage to suppress the cancerous cells and she is now having a different treatment. The diagnosis came at the start of lockdown, so none of the children have been able to provide any support physically to their parents.
Specific prayer, would be for the treatment to be effective and also for strength, health for David's father and for the family to be able to meet soon.
Continuing to Pray:

We continue to pray for Lowenna, Tabitha and Peter's niece who experienced a brain aneurysm in April 2020 and is now in recovery.
In this last week they have completed sleep studies on Lowenna, and determined that her drive to breathe when she is asleep, is not there.
Lowenna's father Dan, has now to make some key decisions, regarding a potential return to work in September.
Please can we pray a prayer of thanks for all that God has done in this situation and the miracles seen so far. Can we also pray, for continued recovery for Lowenna, specifically her breathing whilst she sleeps and wisdom for the family.

We want to continue to acknowledge all those amongst us who are currently serving others as front line workers. Particularly those in the caring professions. We pray for their continued safety and protection.

Children's Church.
Betty will read the second part  of the story to us about Joseph.

Sadly there will be no quiz this week. Thank you to all those who have entered the quizzes in the last couple of months. It will resume again next week.
Do we have any other children able to find some time during their week to learn a scripture ? If you manage to do this, then ask for permission from a grown up first, then record it and send it in to office@newlifechurchrugby.com
We have the next couple of weeks sorted but there will be space after that!
Thank you to Judah and Sairah who wrote into the church office this week and shared this great picture.
Thank you.
