Welcome to the Season of Creation with Bishop Rose
Climate Sunday (6 September)

Amidst the events at the start of lockdown we were able to glimpse at what the earth could look and feel like if we allowed it to rest.
And this year's Season of Creation 2020 is Jubilee for the Earth. At ClimateSunday.org you will find a whole host of information, liturgy, activities and  ideas to celebrate the commitment to tackle climate change. There are also resources which can be used across the season.
Thank you for the rain
Join us for our first ever diocesan-wide watch party as we come together to discuss "Thank you for the rain".
Thanks to Christian Aid, we're able to share and watch this award winning film during September and we will meet up online on Thursday 1 October on Zoom to discuss what we felt and what we learned.
Thank you for the Rain is a film about Kisilu, a Kenyan farmer, who uses his camera to capture the life of his family, his village and the damages of climate change. Through a changing climate we see him transform from a father, to community leader to an activist on the global stage.

Subsidised energy audit - 30 days to apply!
Keen to know just how energy efficient your church is? You have until Wednesday 30 September to apply for a subsidised energy audit. There are only 200 available across the country and instead of costing £445 + VAT, it will cost £245 + VAT.
The audit will show you where you're doing great stuff and where changes can be made to reduce pollution, go greener and help to save money too. Find out more by clicking here.

Thank you

It is now, of course, widely recognised we are in a climate emergency so thank you for joining us as we strive to change that and I truly believe we can.
This is going to be a journey of love as we continue to love and care for God's glorious creation that in turn nurtures, protects and give us a place to call home.
As a diocese we have pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2030. We are all part of that process and together we will reach that target and learn so much more along the way.
So thank you again and please don't hesitate to get in touch with ideas, stories and inspiration,

With every blessing,

Teresa Redfern
