A message from our team

As the academic year comes to a close, the Health Improvement Team would like to thank you for engaging with our team and for prioritising your pupils' health and wellbeing this academic year and during these challenging times. When schools resume in September, getting pupils' learning up to speed will be a key priority of schools. But pupils with also need a lot of support with their physical and mental health, and our team will be there to support you with all these challenges. We are currently developing many tools and resources to help your pupils health and wellbeing when they return to school.

Healthy Schools Point Winner!

As you may be aware, this year we introduced the Ealing Healthy Schools Points Scheme to reward you and your school for participating in our service. We would like to congratulate the top 3 schools this year:

Hambrough Primary School (53 points)
Clifton Primary School (52 points)
Perivale Primary School (51 points)

We would like to thank you all for engaging with the health improvement team this year. Due to the success of the programme we will continue to run the Ealing Healthy Schools Points Scheme next year, with more great prizes and rewards on offer for high scoring schools. Recovery curriculum

The compass hub schools have developed recovery curriculum plans designed to be used in primary schools by teachers to support the transition of pupils back to school. The recovery curriculum is planned as a 5 week block and each week is based on a different theme. This curriculum is free to Ealing schools.

A very sad farewell to Claire

We are very sad to announce that Claire Vaughan, Health Improvement Officer for PSHE and RSE will be leaving our team at the end of the Summer term to move back to Ireland. Although, she may work remotely for a few days a week during the Autumn term to offer support where needed.
