Dear Partners,
We understand that this is a very challenging time. Visit Estes Park is doing everything we can to increase overnight visitation and to ensure we have the best summer possible. If you have driven by the Visitor Parking Structure you may have noticed the new banners that have been put up to welcome back visitors and residents and to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. Visit Estes Park is providing these banners to ensure we improve our brand engagement and communicate positive statements throughout the summer for visitors as they arrive.
Last week, Governor Polis also announced the next phase as we transition to opening up more completely, the “Protect your Neighbor” phase, which has to be applied for by Larimer County before we enter it. This phase will loosen many guidelines for businesses and help us get closer to a more normal way of doing business day to day. We will communicate more information on this as we receive it.
I want to express my thanks to our team for working super hard to ensure we are attracting visitors in a responsible manner for the summer. Our new summer marketing campaign is very robust, we are dedicating significant resources and you will see new updates on our website, in social media and advertisements on many travel sites promoting our town and the area targeting overnight-drive market visitation. We also have had great success in influencing visitors through our Athletes in Residence program which is partially funded through a grant by the Colorado Tourism Office in partnership with Visit Estes Park. We will continue to ensure that Estes Park is top of mind for summer visitors who love to come to our area and that we increase visitor demand responsibly.
We have ordered an additional two thousand face masks which we are offering to businesses to sell to visitors. We are recommending that you mark up the price and donate the difference to a charity of your choice. Some of our stakeholders have been selling them for $5 plus tax and have seen great success donating the proceeds to charity. For help with a non-profit charity EPNRC is working with us to assist. You can contact Laurie Dale Marshall at 970-480-7805 for ideas about who to donate to.
If you are interested in buying additional masks, please contact us and place your order and we will make sure you receive them. Our cost is $2.50 each and they are also still free for employees of any Estes Park business. Email us at visitestespark@visitestespark.com to place your order.
We thank you for your support and wish you the best during these challenging times.
