40 Donors, $5,000 ... 1 Community - Thank You!
Many thanks to everyone who took action today and donated to support our partners at Columbia Community Care!
This morning we sent an Emergency Response Network request and in just over two hours we collectively reached our goal of $2,500 to support our partners at Columbia Community Care. Then, a long-time donor challenged all of us to do more with a $1,250 donation and a request to match it ... and, a few hours later, you made it happen.
So today, the Women's Giving Circle is able to provide $5,000 to Columbia Community Care, to support our friends and neighbors with food and other basic need items. Together, we've now provided $11,500 in overall support the last several months.
As Erika Strauss Chavarria, Founder of Columbia Community Care said this morning, "when women support one another with true compassion in the fight for justice, and in the spirit of community care and mutual aid, anything and everything is possible."
