Please join us for a virtual red carpet roll out!

Last summer we started the tradition of rolling out the red carpet for our Play Captains on their first day of work so they would feel celebrated and seen; for more than 85% of our teens, this is typically their first job. We want to uphold the tradition but it will look a little different this year.

We are asking you to join us on Monday, July 13th to change your profile picture to include a frame that features the Play Captains; or you can take photo with a super cool filter and make that your profile pic to post to all of your social media pages. I am proud to share that these cool filters/frames were made by our intern, Trina!

Please use this link to access the filter to take a photo and to share across your social media; Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat....

If you want to update your FACEBOOK profile, please
use this link.

When you make these updates, please consider wishing our teens good luck or sending them an inspirational message.

And we'd love you to tag us-- we're at @phillyplaycaptains or @fabyouthphilly.

Hashtags could include: #playstreetsofwonder #kensingtonproud #summerjobsforteens #playsafeplayhard #playeveryday #funsafephilly

Quick tips for social distancing while playing outside this summer

Try these easy hand signals to help children remember how to social distance while playing outside.

When getting into a circle, direct them to use "airplane arms" with their arms stretched out to the sides and "fly" into the circle making sure they have space between them-self and the people next to them. Once in the circle, have them stand with 'hand on hips' as a reminder to keep the distance.

If people are working in pairs, facing each other, have them stand like "Frankenstein" with arms stretched out in front to help keep their distance.
