Greetings on this sunny Flashback Friday for July 2020. It has been another not so good Throwback Spursday for the COYS, glad I didn't watch the game, heard it was awful despite not losing. Hopefully everyone is ok and didn't get too carried away at the weekend drinking too much and not observing the So Shall I Distance rules with the pubs and bars relaxed lockdown gestures. 



I'ver been 'Knee Deep' like Funkadelic in editorial ahead of next weeks print and design preparations for the long awaited and much anticipated 14th anniversary issue 87 for it's August 1st schedule. It's gonna be a special celebratory one worth waiting for after  5 months since the last issue. Lots have happened and there is much to tell and share so be prepared to be locked down with plenty reading in this forthcoming issue.





Earlier in the week 7th July we celebrated our 14th year to the day when the first issue of the magazine was given out at Soul Village in 2006. Here is a reminder of the front cover and the original logo which has had a few Gok Wan makeovers since. It's been an incredible journey thus far and I'd like to that all the interviewees, contributors, distributors and readers who have supported us since day one. As mentioned next issue is out by 1st August 2020 as the 'info provider for the soul survivor'
